Barry Boneau has established himself as a leader in the architecture scene with a unique skill for designing with a human consciousness.
Barry Boneau was born in Oklahoma. His family relocated to Chicago during his high school years. It was during his time in Chicago that Barry fondly began to marvel at buildings and structures. He graduated from the University of Missouri with a B.S. in Environmental Design, where he became recognized as a superior interior designer. He subsequently graduated from the University of Kansas with a Master of Architecture, where he was an influential member of the internationally recognized Studio 804.
Barry’s professional career started by working on a series of residential high-rises as an architect at Pappageorge Haymes, LTD in Chicago. He also worked as a furniture designer and builder prior to his move to New York City. In 2003, Barry moved to New York City to establish his own practice. He began by renovating loft spaces in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Soon thereafter, Barry formed a company dedicated to designing and building, with a specialty in metal and glass applications for restaurants, private residences, commercial buildings, and public spaces. Later, Barry formed Boneau Design, Inc. and has since been specializing in renovations, additions, and new construction projects for townhouses, apartment combinations, single-family homes, and commercial projects for offices, restaurants, and more. He is an accomplished design architect, construction manager, and interior designer.
